MY APPROACH

My style is very relaxed allowing me to capture natural beautiful images showing your pet’s expression and personality. I’m willing to get your pet shooting at their environment where they can be themselves and do what they like to do on their usual day. The pet’s environment is a choice of the pet’s owner.

My unique goal is nothing less than to deliver professional images I captured of your lovely family member, beyond of a good behavior by putting a smile on your face and felling pure joy whenever you look at them. I’m looking forward to meeting you and your beloved pet to capture the human and animal bond we share.

ABOUT ME

Hello!

I’m Iro! I am from Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. I moved to Washington, DC in 2009. Since moving I’ve been lucky and fortunate to be working in the animal care field. I have worked as a dog walker, pet sitter, dog trainer, and with dog rescue organizations. Also, I’m certified as a dog trainer at the New Skills Academy in US and at POA Dogs Training in RS, Brazil. My experience has given me the knowledge and familiarity of dog’s personality and behavior. My best friend who I call my son is my little boy “Whiskey”. Whiskey is a ShihPoo mix and has filled my heart with unconditional love since I adopted him in 2009, at one year old. He is one of my inspirations for becoming a Pet Photographer.

My Love for animals goes way back before coming to Washington DC. Growing up I had dogs of many breeds that became part of my family. I lived in Porto Alegre Brazil, a country that has many lost and abandoned animals on the street. There, I also worked to help animals, rescuing dogs and cats, getting them veterinary care and finding them homes. Also, I have studied Public Relations and International Business. I owned a Coffee Shop and Spa called Café com Pé, where I met my husband Valter who supports and encourages my animal work. I’ve continued to feed my love and dedication to animals as a volunteer photographer for local animal rescue organizations in DC.

STAR SESSION

It’s a relaxed session where your pet will be the biggest star and I’ll be right there capturing all the natural craziest and funny moments to present to you a beautiful images collection of your lovely pet. The collection will be delivered in a personal online proofing gallery with prints size up to “40×60”.

Session fee: $379 (at my state location DC)

Brazil fee: $379 (Porto Alegre e Grande Porto Alegre, RS)
